While the weather had been almost spring-like back in Indiana by comparison, it got pretty winterly in Belgium, but it was fun and beautiful. Here is a shot from the bird-watching hike that my brother Guido and his friend Elvira took us on. Alors que la météo pour l'Indiana avait encore été quasi-printanière, c'est l'hiver dans toute sa splendeur qui nous surprit en Belgique. Voici une photo qui a été prise lors de notre promenade avec Guido et Elvira. War das Wetter in Indiana beinah frühlingshaft gewesen, so überraschte uns eine wahre Winterpracht in Belgien. The twins were the big event in the Schütz family last year. These are my sister Melanie with Miro and her husband Biplob with Manik, who is my godson by the way. The parents are obviously in heaven. Les jumeaux constituèrent évidemment le grand événement de l'année chez les Schütz. Voici Mélanie avec Miro et Biplob avec Manik, mon filleul. Les parents sont visiblement aux anges. Die Zwillinge waren natürlich das große Ereignis bei den Schütz letztes Jahr. Hier Melie mit Miro und Biplob mit Manik, meinem Patenkind. Die Eltern sind allem Anschein nach im siebten Himmel.

My mom and her granddaughter Laila (Gregor and wife Myriam's daughter). Maman et Laila : est-ce que Laila est déjà fatiguée ? Oma und Laila: Ist Laila etwa schon müde?

Brother Guido and Mari: seems like a deep conversation. Guido et Mari : de quoi peuvent-ils bien discuter ? Guido und Mari: Was wird denn hier so intensiv besprochen?

Sister Melanie, godson Manik (I wanna get outta here!) and sister-in-law Myriam. Mélanie, Manik (Bon, y en a marre, je me taille.) et Myriam (qui apparemment a déjà faim pour deux). Melie, Manik (Jetzt reichts, ich zieh die Leine.) und Myriam (die anscheinend schon für zwei isst).
